Programs

The BNRC receives funding every year to put on programs to help support the community in a positive way. Funding changes every year so although many of the programs we've put done in past years may have been successful they might not occur every year because funding is limited.

Neighbourhood Watch

The Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) Program is aimed at reducing crime in the community. It involves getting to know one's neighbours and introducing them to the concepts of NHW - that is, good neighbours working together, alert to the potential of crime and willing to look out for one another's interests. Neighbours working together through the NHW can combat crime in their area the most effective way- before it starts. The purpose of this program is to create a team of people working together to build a safer place to live; a place where neighbours look out for each other and work with local police to reduce crime.

For more information on the Neighbourhood Watch Program please contact the Community Development Coordinator at 729-2494.
